Q: Is the venue air conditioned?
A: No. The main event area (Arena) is not air conditioned. It has an outside feel without the stress of planning an outside event because it is fully covered. It provides total protection from rain, wind, and direct sunlight. It does have fans and good air movement. There IS air conditioning in the bathrooms and the Bridal Suite and Groom's Suite.
Q: What is the flooring in the Arena?
A: Decomposed/crushed granite. Decomposed granite is a crushed stone often used as a pavement building material. It is frequently used on driveways, garden walkways, and urban, regional, and national park walkways and heavy-use paths. It is NOT sand or dirt. It packs down hard for a pretty stable surface, and it also isn't dusty like sand/dirt.
Q: Can we serve beer, wine, and/or liquor at our event?
A: Beer and wine are allowed to be served by a TABC certified bar tender. We do not allow BYOB. We do not allow any liquor on the premises.
Q: Can we have a rehearsal the night before we reserve the venue for our wedding?
A: You can reserve the venue at a reduced rate if you would like to have access to the venue the day before the wedding in order to decorate in advance and/or have a rehearsal at the venue. See our Pricing page for more info!
Q: What is the max capacity at Barn 89?
A: Though our arena has large capacity, we have limited space for parking. Therefore, our max capacity is 150 guests. We do have an additional parking area that can be reserved for $350 that will increase capacity to 225 guests.
